As a woman with relatively wimpy eyelashes, I had to get in on a new trend sweeping Spokane... eye lash extensions. Women I know who wear them, swear by them. They make your lashes longer, thicker and eliminate the need for mascara. No mascara? Thicker, longer lashes? I had to try it.

You wouldn't notice Eileen Frances' Beautiful Lashes storefront from the street. I didn't. I drove right by it.

The first Summer Parkways event of the year is this Wednesday evening from 6 - 9 pm  between Manito & Comstock parks!!!  About 4 miles of city streets will be closed to traffic for walkers, joggers, bikers, strollers & all other forms of human-powered transportation. Low-income seventh and eighth grade students who sign a pledge by June 30 of their eighth grade year are eligible for a College Bound Scholarship. This program is particularly important to Spokane Public Schools, since more than half of our students qualify for free or reduced-price meals.
