The Salvation Army will have free movies on Fridays starting at dusk  on the wall in the park ...Ruby and Indiana...204 e. Indiana to be exact.. These are family friendly movies for all ages through the summer...they do sell popcorn and soft drinks..no smoking or alcohol allowed.  you can bring your own treats. Rogers students, Jessica, Alysha and Noel ,are painting the mural . They are art students donating their time and creativity.  Capt. Kyle would love to see you bring your family and enjoy some wonderful movies as you spend healthy time as a family under the stars.

As a woman with relatively wimpy eyelashes, I had to get in on a new trend sweeping Spokane... eye lash extensions. Women I know who wear them, swear by them. They make your lashes longer, thicker and eliminate the need for mascara. No mascara? Thicker, longer lashes? I had to try it.

You wouldn't notice Eileen Frances' Beautiful Lashes storefront from the street. I didn't. I drove right by it.

Volunteer Opportunity: Citizen's Transportation Advisory Board

The City of Spokane is seeking applicants for the Citizen's Transportation Advisory Board (CTAB) to help determine priorities for the Transportation Benefit District (TBD). The district is an independent taxing district created in October 2010 to help the City better maintain its street system and pedestrian infrastructure. The Spokane City Council serves as the TBD governing board separately from their Council duties.

Summer Parkway Event Starts Wednesday

The first Summer Parkways event of the year is this Wednesday evening from 6 - 9 pm  between Manito & Comstock parks!!!  About 4 miles of city streets will be closed to traffic for walkers, joggers, bikers, strollers & all other forms of human-powered transportation. Funny Fundraiser this Friday

Ronny Turiaf will be roasted for his charity Heart to Heart. The roasting will be done by internationally known comic/actor Cedric "The Entertainer".  The event will be held at the Lincoln Center , Friday, June 24th, 7pm. A cocktail reception, dinner, auction and then the roast to cap off the night. Tickets are $100.00 each.
