Just a few weeks after Spa Paradiso moved out, the Davenport Hotel is preparing to open its own spa in the basement of the historic hotel.
In a news release Monday, the Davenport announced it will open the 7,000 square foot spa on September 4 in the 98-year old Pompeian Room. That's the site of the orignal barber shop and the former Spa Paradiso location.
In the release, owner Walt Worthy said, “Guests of the hotel, along with many others who live in Spokane, are looking for a high-quality full-service spa, at a great price--and that is what we intend to provide them.”
“People are sophisticated when it comes to spas and they want a certain type of environment. We feel we have one of the best environments in the northwest, and being able to offer these services is important.”
The Davenport Spa and Salon will include skin care, body care, massage therapy, hair care and nail care. The hotel also promises "unique services that are state-of-the-art and new to this area."
The spa will create 30 new jobs to join the other Davenport Hotel properties. Applications are still being accepted. For more information, visit www.davenportspa.com.
