All the pizza eating paid off. Thursday, Papa Murphy's announced the grand total raised in Wednesday's Cure for Cat campaign. Including cash donations, the Pizza 4 Cat fundraiser brought in $15,700!
Papa Murphy's donated $3 from the sale of every family size pizza Wednesday to the Cure for Cat campaign, helping a 25-year old Spokane woman who needs a life-saving stem-cell transplant. In addition to the pizzas sold, people donated cash in large buckets at each location.
Touched by the fundraiser, Global Fitness owner Mike Lee matched the cash donated at the store on 29th Avenue, dropping $1,100 in for the cause.
Despite her condition and the disease that exhausts her, Cat paid several visits to the Papa Murphy's locations to thank the staff and the people who came to support her. Many were moved to tears hearing her story.
