Summer movies at The Shop begin Saturday | Arts & Culture
Title (Max 100 Characters)
As the sun goes down, the movies are set to begin at The Shop. The coffee shop in the Perry Business District has been doing their summer movies for the past few years and now it’s that time again. The business is kicking off their annual tradition this Saturday, starting with the Pixar film, Up.
We talked to staff at the coffee shop this afternoon. They say attendees should plan on showing up between 6-7 p.m. to find a spot and set up their chairs.
Since the opening of Casper Fry, there was some concern the parking lot would not be available for viewing the films, but the lot should be cleared in time for the dusk movies.
If you’re wondering how they chose the movies, The Shop, put out a big list of films and had visitors to the business vote of them. The top movies chosen by popular vote this year was The Goonies, Never Ending Story and the Princess Bride.
The Shop is located at 924 S. Perry. For the full list of summer movies, check out the above image. All movies begin at dusk.
