It's Time For Women Build | Community Spirit

Ladies, grab your tool belts and help build! Don't have a tool belt? No big deal. You don't even have to know how to hammer a nail to take part in the annual Women Build. It's a national event sponsored by Lowe's, in which women from all walks of life come together to help eliminate poverty housing.

This year the Women Build is this Wednesday, May 9th. They still need volunteers. Call Shona Bose to get involved, (509) 534-2552, ext. 21.

A few facts about Habitat-Spokane:

• Last year, it built 8 new homes and rebuilt 10 others.

• At any given time, Habitat is working with 25 to 35 families. About 3,000 volunteers work two shifts year round each year.

• Habitat currently works with 100 active churches in the Spokane area, as well as some non-affiliated faith groups.
