South Side Resident Attacked in Home Invasion

Around 5 am  this morning, a man was attacked and robbed in this home on the 3800 block of East Bellerive Lane. Police believe this was an isolated incident and are looking for the two robbers.

Spokane police are searching for two men who invaded a South Hill home this morning and assaulted a man living there with a knife and baseball bat.

The news comes four months after their neighboring police department in Coeur d'Alene joined the Twittersphere.Their first tweet discussed the call for help to identify the vehicle that be related to the death of Evon Moore near Ralph St. and Riverside Ave. on August 13th. They hope to use their Twitter presence as another way to get the latest info to the community straight from the Department.

Man arrested for indecent exposure along 57th Tuesday afternoon

Drivers along westbound 57th on the upper South Hill were greeted by a man exposing himself near the Pittsburgh intersection.

Witnesses told deputies that 20-year-old Tyler R. Raymond Hall pulled his shorts down to his thighs around 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday displaying his genitals for all.

Fines Start Monday For New Photo Red Cameras

The warning period is over for three new red light cameras in Spokane.

Thery are located downtown at Browne Street southbound at 2nd Avenue, Maple Street southbound at 2nd Avenue, and 2nd Avenue westbound at Walnut Street.

Spokane installed the photo red cameras about a month ago.  Drivers didn't face fines for the first 30 days, but starting Monday tickets will be issued.

Drivers who run red lights at those intersections will get $124 tickets by mail.

Missing: Bulldog... Described as Cast Iron and Very Heavy

Police Report: Earlier this week, a cast iron bulldog was reported missing by a resident in the 3000 block of East Tara Dr. She told Crime Check that it was taken right from her front porch. She noticed it missing Tuesday morning. The resident noted that the bulldog is very heavy and would take two people to lift it. She said it was worth about $300.

DEA Raids South Hill Residence

DEA Raids South Hill Residence

Agents with the Drug Enforcement raided a South Hill home Thursday morning. A neighbor who lives near the home, located at 4127 S. Myrtle, said they were woken a loud noise and saw DEA agents at the Myrtle residence.

The neighbor said the house had been a nuisance for a while.

Spokane Police would not confirm whether or not they were involved in the raid, and referred requests for information to the DEA.

Jodie Underwood, an agent with the DEA in Seattle, confirmed the raid happened early Thursday morning.

South Hill Subway Robbed At Gunpoint

Spokane Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing a Subway on the South Hill Wednesday night.

The robbery took place at the restaurant on 29th between Regal and Ray around 10 p.m.

Police say the robber pointed a gun at one of the clerks and demanded cash. When the robber decided the clerk wasn't going fast enough, he started taking money out of the cash register and left on foot.

Police describe the suspect as five feet ten inches, wearing a gray collared shirt with diamonds on the right sleeve. He also had a black ski mask with tassels hanging from the side.
