Dinner/Auction to help 7-year-old with leukemia | Events
The Spokane community has an opportunity to help the family of a 7-year-old girl suffering from a rare form of leukemia.
7-year-old Trista Cross was diagnosd a few months ago with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. Trista's sister, Destiny, is helping to organize a dinner and auction that will raise money for her family's living expenses.
Trista's mother quit her job in order to stay home and take care of her baby girl. With her away from her job and expensive medical expenses for Trista, the Cross family is hoping to get some help from the community.
According to Destiny, only one in a million people are diagnosed with this form of leukemia. She says that the cancer is usually only seen in people over the age of 50.
The dinner and auction will be held this Saturday, December 1, at the Eagles Lodge on Fancis and Lidgerwood. It will take place from 3-7 p.m.
