Three choices available for Manito Blvd. & 29th crosswalk | News
Title (Max 100 Characters)
A new crosswalk at 29th Avenue and Manito Blvd. is one of the projects recently selected for this year’s traffic calming funds. The city told neighbors today in an email their project is one of 21 projects out of 74 that will be built.
The submitted application from Comstock and Manito/Cannon neighborhoods details a requested crosswalk complete with striping and a raised design, but that design is up for discussion during an upcoming neighborhood council meeting.
Because of the intersection’s complexities - being a boulevard and having two bus stops - city engineers put together three options that neighbors can choose from.
Here’s an early look at the choices including the project cost, but it should be noted that all the projects will be completely covered by “photo red” revenue.
If you want to discuss the projects with other neighbors, you can attend two upcoming neighborhood meetings:
- Comstock, Thursday, September 20 at 7 p.m. - Sacajwea Middle School
- Manito/Cannon, Tuesday, September 25 at 7 p.m. - Wilson Elementary
