Pedestrian succumbs to injuries after hit by car
A man has died a week after he was hit by a car on the lower South Hill.
The victim, identified Monday afternoon as 45-year-old Albert Pino, was hit by a car at 2nd and Sherman on Sept. 26. He was in critical condition after being hit and was taken to the hospital.
The Spokane Police Department confirmed via Twitter Monday morning that Pino succumbed to his injuries last Thursday.
Major Crimes detectives assisted in the investigation of the crash and authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision. The driver was cooperating with police after the incident.
