Rock Out with "Pop Goes the Rock"

Rock Out with "Pop Goes the Rock"

KXLY 4 is a proud sponsor of West Coast Entertainment's Best of Broadway Series and their latest show, "Pop Goes the Rock by Cirque Dreams," is ready to "rock" you right out of your chair.

The show hits Spokane and the INB Performing Arts Center on Sunday, April 29 at 6:30 pm.  Tickets are available right now at TicketsWest.com.

The show has been described as "a roller–coaster ride of twists, turns and wows" and features unexpected sights and sounds that explode on stage like a Rock n’ Roll party in a carnival funhouse.

"Pop Goes the Rock" was created by Neil Goldberg, along with the world-famous Cirque Dreams entertainment company.  The production boasts an international cast of singers, dancers, acrobats and musicians.

Crowning Achievement

A Spokane woman fell just short of being crowned 2011 Miss Washington. Genay Tucker, who was competing as Miss Spokane, finished third in the scholarship pageant over the weekend. Tucker was previously Miss Washington outstanding teen in 2007 after winning the Miss Greater Vancouver outstanding teen the same year. Brittney Henrey, 24, of Edgewood in Pierce County will represent the state in January at the Miss America 2012 pageant in Las Vegas.

The Eyelash Extension Buzz

The Eyelash Extension Buzz

As a woman with relatively wimpy eyelashes, I had to get in on a new trend sweeping Spokane... eye lash extensions. Women I know who wear them, swear by them. They make your lashes longer, thicker and eliminate the need for mascara. No mascara? Thicker, longer lashes? I had to try it.

You wouldn't notice Eileen Frances' Beautiful Lashes storefront from the street. I didn't. I drove right by it.
